Karin Ekberg (SE)

Director. Born 1979 in Stockholm. Studies include a degree in photography at dutch AKI 2003, and a masters degree in journalism at Stockholm university.

Karin Ekberg has also studied film and documentary. Her debut feature documentary A Separation, about the divorce process of her own parents, premiered at CPH:DOX in 2013 and was later nominated for Prix Europa. In 2017 her next documentary feature, After Inez, premiered at Tempo Documentary Festival where it won the Tempo Documentary Award. Ekberg is chair of Independent Filmmakers Association Sweden.
